MINI NINJAS KICKBOXING
A perfect class for the little ones to start their martial arts path to black belt. Designed for ages 5 to 7 years old and kept to a minimum number of students to keep concentration levels high. The focus is on learning through fun and lots of skills and drills to keep them entertained!
 

5:15 – 6:15pm

JUNIOR SAMURAI’S KICKBOXING
Designed for the ages of 8 years and upwards within the first 5 belt grades. This class will teach the children the basics of kickboxing, pad work, fitness levels and if sparring is something they want then it is an option. They can work their way up the grading ladder to purple belt within this class!
 

6:15 – 7pm

ADULT BEGINNERS KICKBOXING

Ideal for those adults who would like to start training in the art of kickboxing, within this class the basics will be delivered every week. You can work your way up the grading ladder or just build up your technique and fitness with lots of pad work.

JUNIOR SAMURAI’S
An ideal class for mixed level students to practice the art of kickboxing in a fully equipped gym with a host of experienced instructors. All the skills and drills are taught to a high standard with a element of fun involved to keep interest levels high!

A total of 19 fighters made the trip and started the year with a bang and all competitors took part in semi and light contact kickboxing divisions!

Sparring, sparring and some more sparring was the lesson plan from the instructors and after 4 hours on the Wednesday, all the students and instructors were finished off! Everyone was in the Christmas spirit and enjoyed the light hearted training sessions to celebrate the year.

Over 250 students, family members and friends came to support the evening and to celebrate the end of the year which has been yet again another amazing 12 months for the GFKC! The whole night was a roaring success with the grading presentation on the same night also along with over 90 awards to hand out to certain students for their efforts! Below is a list of events and achievements that everyone at the GFKC has proudly supported throughout 2011:

It was a very long day and there were a lot of very talented fighters there also. Well done to everyone who fought and thank you to all those that came to show support also! Another great day out for the strike team!

The three day course taught the juniors all about the martial arts and everything you can expect from it if you apply your self in the right way. These skills within the gym can also help you on the outside world in reality also. Healthy eating and how to eat the right foods was also on the agenda for these students who learnt which foods were good and which gave the most energy to be able to train hard everyday. The course was a huge success with the juniors having an exam to understand what they were taught throughout the 3 days and were also given a t-shirt to remember there time at the boot camp. Thank you very much to everyone who attended the boot camp and to all those instructors and volunteers who helped out!
